I was able to take their family portraits last year and as I was waiting for them, I saw this awesome VW Bus pull up. Turns out they are the most fun family and rock that bus all around town! (Lucky for me they let me use the bus for my VW Bus Christmas shoots last year!)

Every summer I get to spend a big chunk of time up in Utah. I absolutely love getting to see my family and friends! I also can’t lie…being able to escape the Phoenix heat for a while is also quite amazing 😝 With limited availability, I was super excited that I was able to squeeze the Kunz family in. Not to mention they let me capture them at one of my bucket list photography locations!
Antelope Island is just north of Salt Lake City and is an amazing place for family pictures. I love the mix up of water, sand, rocks, and boulders. The colors are soft and beautiful. However, it is often windy and buggy there. We were fortunate enough that there were zero bugs during our session but we definitely had to work with the wind.
The Kunz family were such great sports. Jodi basically hiked in wedges. Nevermind the rocky terrain, they found a way to smile and have fun! Which is what family pictures are all about! As you will be able to see from the images, their little girl is an absolute RAY OF SUNSHINE. I think she is truly the most joyful soul I have ever captured ☀️
