Lindsay Grove by Wedgewood Weddings ⎪The Venue

I thought the venue Katherine and Devan chose was just perfect for them. It was classy yet humble and I loved all the natural light that poured in from the windows. Lindsay Grove by Wedgewood Weddings is an absolute treasure. The tables and the whole set up were absolutely beautiful, too!

I couldn’t help but mention that Katherine (the bride) made her wedding cake all by herself! You can find her Instagram @ninebythirteenbakery. She is seriously so talented.

Getting Ready

I think one of my most favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is being able to capture the bride (and sometimes the groom) beforehand. The nerves and excitement are so palpable! Katherine had the sweetest getting ready crew. Her mom and sisters as well as her adorable nieces and nephews stopped by to help her get ready to say “I do.”

Katherine’s beautiful wedding dress is from A Closet Full of Dresses in Mesa. I am obsessed with the pink undertones and the lace details throughout the whole dress, but especially in the train!

First Look

A lot of couples like to do a first look before the ceremony. This is usually happens about 20-30 minutes before the ceremony is scheduled to start. I really love the idea of a first look, as it gives time to the bride and groom to look forward to the ceremony and share a few moments together first.

Wedding Party Photos

With it being record heat the day of their June wedding (which if you know what that means in Phoenix, then you would know it was HOT!) and little time after their ceremony for photos, we opted to do wedding party photos before the ceremony. I love that the venue offered a covered area. It helped with the heat, even just a little 😝

The Ceremony

Katherine and Devan opted to have their ceremony on the shaded lawn of the venue. I love the beautiful arch and thought their ceremony was absolutely beautiful. I wish you could hear their vows through these pictures because they were so perfect.

Formals

Katherine and Devan are such a perfect pair and it was such an honor to capture them on their big day. When it was time for us to get photos of just them, they were excited to show me this little spot they had picked out. We were also able to grab a few other photos with siblings before the dinner and reception began.

Dinner + Reception

Lindsay Grove put on a fantastic dinner for us and the DJ was also phenomenal at keeping the party moving forward. It was fun to grab some photos of people close to the bride and groom.

The night ended with a fun dance party and once the bride and groom were about to leave the guests all lit up their sparklers for a picture perfect exit.

Katherine and Devan, congratulations on your marriage! You two are so perfect together. I can’t wait to see what you accomplish together. It was an honor to capture your big day!
