Today I am super excited to share some images from a wedding I recently shot at Lost Dutchman State Park. Laurie and Anthony were so easy and fun to work with. When Laurie first reached out to me about her plans to have a small wedding at Lost Dutchman I was so excited. As you can tell from the following photos, she did an incredible job planning and executing all of the perfect details.

Small Wedding at Lost Dutchman

Lost Dutchman State Park is located just east of the Phoenix metropolitan area. It is well known for its amazing views of the Superstition mountains. The mountain bluffs are truly something else! If you haven’t been to Lost Dutchman I would encourage you to do so. It is one of my favorite places for photography. It also offers one of the most “Arizona” backdrops.

Laurie and Anthony rented a cabin at the park so that they could get ready on site. I was able to grab a few shots of Laurie as her mom and best friend helped with the finishing touches. I love that they had this separate space before the wedding. It was great too capture Laurie beforehand with the two of them as well.

After Laurie was ready we drove to one of the group sites where they had the cutest arch and rug set up. Laurie built the arch herself! She is incredibly talented. I loved the simplicity of the arch with the grandiosity of the Supersitions behind it.

Laurie and Anthony exchanged vows in front of a small group of family and friends as well as their adorable son. It was so fun to capture him during those moments and loved seeing his reaction to everything going on. The exchanging of their vows was absolutely beautiful.

After the ceremony they celebrated with toast! Then I stole the bride and groom (and the cute ring bearer) for a few more photos. I was in awe capturing their love with the beautiful backdrop of Lost Dutchman. It was quick ceremony but I was glad to see them again a few days later at their wedding reception.
