As a family photographer I am always on the lookout for great locations for family photos and this spot in Chandler is one of them! On top of this great location I also got to capture a beautiful family. The Arvizu family worked with me last year and I was so happy when Becky reached out again. They were hoping for something a little closer to home and I’m so glad this spot worked out for them.

I love working with families with various ages and backgrounds. It is always fun to think of different ways to have them interact. My goal in all my family sessions is to capture a family’s true personality. I always come prepared with prompts and poses but also find the beauty in the natural interactions of family members. The Arvizu family had so much fun during our session and I think it shows.

I also have to mention how great their outfits look! Becky did a great job putting all of the outfits together. Typically I encourage mom to wear a flowy dress and dad in a nice button down shirt. Becky’s dress was beautiful and we had a good laugh when she told me she found it at Boot Barn. You never know! I also loved the cute dress she found for her daughter, too. All of their outfits pulled so nicely together! You can never go wrong with blues and grays.

Some clients ask if they are allowed to bring their dogs to our session. The answer is always yes! As long as they are allowed at the location and if you bring someone else to help wrangle them while we get some shots of just your family.
