As a Phoenix based photographer I always get excited to travel outside of my “typical” area. So when I got the chance to make the drive out to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, I was so excited! Arizona Engagement Pictures at Boyce Thompson Arboretum
One of my favorite things about shooting at Boyce Thompson Arboretum is the variety of backdrops available. When Emily reached out to me regarding the location, she told me she was wanting something “fall-ish.” Which, if you’re from Phoenix, you know how hard that can be to find without driving a couple hours north. Luckily, I had been keeping my eye on the Arboretum through a Facebook group I’m in and had seen that they had some amazing fall colors peeking through. I’m so glad Emily took me up on the offer and made the drive out to the Arboretum!
Where is Boyce Thompson Arboretum?
Boyce Thompson Arboretum is located about 60 minutes east of Phoenix. It is just west of Superior, AZ. I loved the drive out there and enjoyed the beautiful Arizona scenery on the way!
Is a photography permit required at Boyce Thompson Arboretum?
Luckily for all of us, the answer to this question is no! You are required to pay an entrance fee but there is no added fee for photography. You can check out their website here for more information.
