I’ve been wanting to blog about this session for a while. Just for some fun background info, Alexa was one of my labor + delivery nurses when I gave birth to my little Ava back in December 2018. She also happens to be a sister of one of my friends! When they found out I’d be delivering at the hospital Alexa works at, Alexa was sooo kind to make sure she was scheduled for my induction! She is so kind and was the best nurse for me! It was such an honor to capture her pregnancy and I can’t believe that little boy decided to make his entrance 3 weeks early!

We shot these photos at the McDowell Sonoran Preserve which is just absolutely breathtaking during spring here in AZ. It was so green and there were amazing saguaros all over the place! Alexa and her husband, Calvin, were great sports about hiking a little up a rocky hill and I think we caught some beautiful imagery. I also love the dress Alexa chose. Nothing more feminine than the beautiful, pastel color of her pink dress. Love, love, love.

We caught the sunset at the end of our session, hence the slightly different lighting. I love how it added to the intimate moment this cute expectant couple was having.
