I can’t believe how fast time has gone by the past 18 months! I mean, if you had told me when Ava was a newborn that time would seriously FLY about the time she hit 5 months, I would have laughed at you. Her newborn months were super difficult. She had a severe milk protein allergy and it took us months of doctor visits and reflux meds to finally realize just how sensitive her poor little stomach was. It still breaks my heart to think of how miserable she was those first few months.

Now here we are, she is 18 months old! Since the heat has arrived in Arizona, I’m finding that more and more of my photography is having to take place indoors. Today was a slow day and so I was able to take a little bit of time to capture her while she played with her daddy. Ava brings so much joy and love to my life. There are a few things that I am especially enjoying about her stage of development right now and one of them has to be all of the facial expressions she has been learning. She loves to do the “surprised” face and then chuckle to herself right after!

As you can see here, her expressions are just the best

Another thing that I’m loving about this stage is how loving and tender she is towards her dolls + stuffed animals. (Actually, now that I think about it she does sometimes chuck them across the room but that is always preceded by some seriously cute snuggles!)

Here are a few more shots that I caught over the past couple of weeks. I love this little girl so much!

I love you so much my sassy, loving 18 month old! Here’s to hoping the next 18 months go a little slower **crossing fingers**

xoxo
